Another of my favorite movies that falls in the Film Noir
catagory is BLADE RUNNER.
When I saw it in '82, it had a big influence on me. It's another
example of beautiful film-making.
Watch it for a lesson in lighting, editing and amazing sound. The
movie's director Ridley Scott
re-cut it to include more scenes, got rid of Harrison Ford's
narration (even he didn't like it)
and he zapped the sappy happy ending (stupid movie executives!).
A score by Vangelis is the
icing on the cake (especially the end theme). Take a look and see
what I mean.
